Ideal for feral pigeons, starlings and mynahs. Bird Free Optical Bird Gel packet of 15 keeps birds off all structures without harming them. It does so by altering their behaviour. Once you apply it onto the structure, birds will desert their habitat, even ones they have been using for years.
Bird Free Optical Bird Gel is applied in low-profile application dishes, only 8mm high. It has successfully repelled birds from protected “heavy pressure” sites and is ideal for sites where the client requires an invisible solution, or traditional solutions aren’t an option. Great to use as an add on to any other Bird Deterrent product.

We had a strata building with a persistent pigeon problem on the roof and in the roof guttering. A colleague recommended the Optical Gel system after seeing terrific results on another commercial building. I installed the product in the guttering, as advised that water washing over it would not be an issue, and also on the box gutters where pigeons were nesting and sheltering.
The product was easy to apply, and the strata reported immediate results. Residents are no longer seeing bird droppings or hearing pigeons on the roof. Several months later, the feedback is still extremely positive.

We spoke by phone back in January and I promised to give you feedback on our use of optical gel.
A handyman installed the dishes on the roof near the birds nest. It’s working a treat. The nesters were Indian miners. But the gel has deterred them from nesting, perching on the roof, gutters and the trees nearby. Even other bird species are keeping away from the trees nearby.
Thank-you so much for taking the time to advise me about optical gel (I rang about buying the ultrasonic pest repellents). I’ve also referred quite a few others to optical gel and your web page.

Back in 2021 we contacted Bird Control Australia for advice on how to stop birds nesting in the gutters and they suggested using the Optical Gel.

Thankyou for your great products, these have been running for quite a few weeks. With the laser in the roof, 2 X yard sentinels back and front of house and optical gels at various places under the eaves we have 99% reduced the bird problem on our 115 yr old home. We purchased some products from you earlier this year as we were having problems with pigeons nesting in a statue of Mary in an alcove elevated 14m above the ground at the front of the church. The bird droppings actually mounded up on the ground in the forecourt below. It was such an unsightly problem. “Prior to installation of Bird Free Optical Gel the mess created by pigeons roosting below the glass canopies in front of the station meant that we had to undertake frequent cleaning of the unsightly pigeon droppings.
“Based on a recommendation from the manager of Paddington Station, where Bird Free Optical Gel has proved an effective pigeon deterrent since 2011, all roosting sites below the glass canopies were treated with Bird Free Optical Gel at the end of July 2014. Since then, we have never seen any pigeons roosting below the canopies. It’s fair to say we are completely satisfied with the results.
