Project Overview
Thousands of swallows were present on site during the school upgrade.
The swallows were nesting and roosting on window screens, creating significant issues similar to other commercial façade structures.
Project Scope
The builder did not want bird spikes or netting as it would interfere with the aesthetics of the renovation. The only suitable solution was to install bird sonic/ultrasonic deterrent units.
Approach
Installed 12 x BBPRO sonic units and 4 x QB4 ultrasonic units.
Results
Highly successful project with no swallows remaining on site.
Benefits
Provided a solution with no impact to staff, students, environment, or aesthetics. A discreet barrier now prevents birds from entering the affected area.
