Yes they do. Visual decoys have all been tested and proven effective. However, birds are intelligent creatures and will often return if the visual devices are in the same place and have no moving parts. Simple products like our Bird Scare Tape or Scare Hawk decoy that capture the wind and have movement have been very effective against birds. Other visual devices are also highly effective but may need to be moved every now and then to ensure birds don’t become accustomed to them. There are 2 available models of the Yard Sentinel, the 131 and 132 ( or RC model)
The difference is that the Yard Sentinel RC model also comes with a flashing strobe light which acts as another layer of pest deterrent by disorientating the birds, and it also comes with remote control and a sound ( sonic ) feature on top of the ultrasonic.
The Balcony Guard is ultrasonic only and is popular because of the whitewash colour and strong branding.

Yes, these birds are less sensitive to ultrasonics. A lot of customers have success deterring cockatoos, parrots, galahs etc using the Bird Xpeller Pro V2, Superbird Xpeller Pro V2 or Broadband Pro with V2 chip combined with our Visual Scare Hawks or the Hawk Laser.
The swooping Scarybird Kite is also very effective.
We have had feedback from customers that say that the Balcony Guard has worked on cockatoos and corellas. We believe that ultrasonics can be hit and miss with cockatoos.
If you are going to use the Balcony Guard do ensure you use it on AC CONT power and not Motion Sensor.
Only use it on cockatoos if they are in close range, for eg a deck or balcony but not in trees and ultrasonics do not penetrate solid objects.

Keep in mind that on extremely windy days it may be best to take down visual decoys such as the Prowler Owl and Scarybird Kite.
The lasers should also be turned off in temperatures exceeding 40 degrees celsius. Some people place a cover over the top of them to create shade.
Products such as the Indoor laser, Quadblaster and Transonic Pro can be used outdoors undercover only.
In a residential setting, using an ultrasonic product such as the Yard Sentinel or Balcony Guard combined with the Visual Feather Crow can be enough to deter crows.
For a commercial or large space, The Bird Xpeller Pro V2 (or Superbird Xpeller Pro V2 ) which makes sounds of crow distress calls combined with predator sounds is a terrific option as is the Hawk Laser. Always combine with the Visual Feather Crow where possible.
The Scarybird kite is another effective deterrent for crows as it resembles a swooping and hovering bird of prey.
The Yard Sentinel with the sonic volume on is a terrific Indian Myna bird deterrent for areas smaller than 100 sqm.
The Bird Xpeller Pro V1 for larger areas and the Prowler Owl are also great options. You can combine the Prowler Owl with one of the sound options for a more powerful repellent effect.

There are only really a few products that work on ibis but they can be extremely effective.

We work closely with an arborist who has been installing Shock Tape with the Solar Powered Energiser in Palm Trees with nesting ibis and deterring them with excellent results.
The Motion Activated Sprinkler, Yard Sentinel RC and Predator Eyes solar animal deterrent are great for deterring ground birds and animals and nocturnal animals.
We also have a Critter Blaster sound chip which can be used in the Broadband Pro which works on just about all animals including birds of prey. The sound is extremely annoying but you can control the volume and use with an appliance timer.
