The Motion Activated Sprinkler – Garden Sentinel uses a triple-action approach to startle and humanely repel pests without harmful chemicals or ugly netting. When an animal enters its detection zone, the device triggers a sudden burst of water, accompanied by the physical movement of the sprinkler head and a sharp ticking sound.

Animals quickly associate this unpleasant surprise with the location and learn to avoid your property. It even works great for giving human trespassers a fright!

This device is highly effective against a broad range of medium-to-large pests.

  • Land Animals: Bush/Brush Turkeys, possums, cats, dogs, deer, rabbits, kangaroos, and wild pigs.
  • Large Birds: Ducks, geese, seagulls, crows, magpies, herons, egrets, ibis, cockatoos, and fruit bats.

Note: Motion Activated Sprinkler is not suitable for small birds, as they are usually too small to trigger the motion sensor.

A single Garden Sentinel can protect an area of up to 100 square meters, operating efficiently day and night.

  • Sensor Range: Detects motion up to 10 meters straight ahead and 13 meters from side to side.
  • Sprinkler Range: Accurately fires a water stream up to 10 meters.

If you have a larger yard, vineyard, or pond area, multiple units can be linked together to form a seamless defensive perimeter.

The unit operates on 2 x AA NiMH rechargeable batteries (not included). The built-in solar panel automatically keeps these batteries charged during the day.

  • Shady Areas: If you are placing the unit in a heavily shaded area, a garage, or a spot that doesn’t receive direct sunlight, simply remove the solar panel and use standard, non-rechargeable AA batteries instead.

Assembly Tip: Please read the instructions carefully before assembling. Be sure to add the screws to the battery compartment before pushing it into place.

The Motion Activated Sprinkler is highly water-efficient, conserving water by only using one to two cups of water per deterrence burst.

To set it up correctly, just hook it up to your standard garden hose. However, you must manage your water pressure:

  • Operating Range: The device is designed to run between 30 psi and 80 psi.
  • High Pressure: If your home’s water pressure exceeds 80 psi, you must install a pressure reduction valve on your tap.
  • Tap Settings: Only open your tap slightly—no more than 30%. Partially opening a tap reduces the volume of water, not the pressure itself.

Yes! The upgraded Motion Activated Sprinkler – Garden Sentinel features an adjustable height design. If you need to lower the profile of the device—such as for targeting smaller ground pests like rabbits or keeping it discreet in a garden bed—the ground spike can be attached directly to the main body, significantly reducing its overall height.
