DID YOU KNOW? Top facts about Indian Myna Birds..

These birds were originally introduced to Melbourne in 1962 in an unsuccessful attempt to control insects in market gardens and sugar cane plantations.
These birds are now listed in the top 100 invasive pests. They are violent, noisy, accomplished scavengers and are difficult to

NEW OWNERSHIP

Sunday, 17 July 2016 6:22:47 PM Australia/Sydney

My partner Joe and I had been buying Bird Control Australia products for our boat and our balcony for some time. We thought the products were fantastic and would tell our friends about them!

Being friends with Alain and Kellie, we decided to let them know that if they were ever interested in selling the business then we'd definitely be interested in buying!

Well, it was a case of great timing and the transition has been great! We are now located in Sydney only meters from Sydney harbour. Alain and Kellie have provided us with a wealth of knowledge, support and experience and we are excited about expanding this great business with even more fantastic products! Many thanks to Alain and Kellie and to all dear customers, stay tuned for regular updates!

Bird Xpeller Pro V1 and V2

Tuesday, 7 October 2014 11:13:21 PM Australia/Sydney

When our web designer said I needed to blog a minimum once a week to keep ‘in with my customers’ I thought 'what am I going to write about each and every week?'  So I asked my wife Kellie who many of you have spoken to when you've called us up to get advice on a bird problem.  I asked her if we had any products that were slow moving off the shelf but she said ‘no, everything is going really well’.  So, instead of writing about a product to try to move it along, I'll write about a product that is very popular amongst our customers, and is also proving very successful in almost applications - the Bird Xpeller Pro (Verions 1 and 2).

Balcony Guard - vs - Yard Sentinel

Tuesday, 2 September 2014 9:19:21 PM Australia/Sydney

Bird Control is not an exact science and there are a multitude of factors that can influence a product's efficiency and its ability to achieve its intended purpose.  For example (and I've mentioned this to a few people), it gets harder and harder to control (or expel) birds, the closer it gets to nesting season!  It's also virtually impossible ...

Indian Mynas

Tuesday, 19 August 2014 9:39:16 PM Australia/Sydney

I was at Broadbeach on the weekend with my wife and some friends when my friend was swooped by an Indian Myna…little bugger. Not that he/she made any contact with my friend’s head, and nowhere as powerful as our friend the Magpie (subject of my last blog), but very quick and very aggressive nonetheless … and made me think ‘come on do it again you little …’. Then I was thinking that late last year we were in Vanuatu for a fantastic 2 weeks, and while we were there, we noticed that the only bird species still around was the myna … which prompted me to write this blog!

Pigeons – the Domestic Invaders

Tuesday, 29 July 2014 7:50:14 PM Australia/Sydney

Friday, July 25 2014, newspapers reported that a comedy club audience at Jongleurs Comedy Club at Oceana, Nottingham (UK) was left disgusted and unamused when maggots started falling into the crowd from the rafters! The crowd was left in shock and club management left red faced, when they realised the maggots were from the rotting carcass of pigeons that had gotten into the rafters and died. Not a show I would want to be at!
